Packing Supplies: Making Your Packing Job Easier

By Shop4Boxes.com Staff

Packing is not simply about having the right box. Of course, that is a huge part of protecting your belongings but you will also need to make sure that your items are safely wrapped and secured during the moving process. From moving blankets to bubble wrap, here are the best supplies to use when packing.

Bubble Wrap. This plastic sealant is great for glass and other fragile items like figurines and plates. Another alternative is to use stretch wrap, which can protect pieces of furniture like your sofas, dressers or TV screen from nicks and dents that may occur during moving.

Packing Paper. Many people use newspaper as filler for their boxes but we advise using packing paper. Not only is this paper thinner, you won’t have to worry about newspaper prints that can damage your belongings. Packing paper is also great to tightly wrap and protect fragile items.

Packing Tape. An obvious essential, packing tape is used to seal your boxes after you carefully pack and wrap your items. Depending on how many boxes you have you may need four to six rolls of tape that can seal up to 60 medium-sized boxes. To make things easier for you, consider using a tape dispenser that can cut off the tape evenly and neatly.

Moving Blankets. These packing supplies serve as a form of protection or a cushion for your furniture and large appliances. Made of strong and sturdy woven fabrics, they are also great to protect your items while they are in storage.
